MMK Foundation is started by Dr. M. Maria Kumar who is a Geoscientist by profession and serving the mining and mineral based industry since 2008 in India, Africa, Latin America and Middle East. MMK Foundation has a strong vision and mission to be a catalyst in between mines, mineral based industries, and mining-affected communities’ welfare.

Dr. M. Maria Kumar is the Managing Partner at Genesis Global Green, a partnership firm headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, and recognized as a startup under the MSME initiative of the Government of India. Driven by the vision to connect nations to nature, Genesis Global Green specializes in manufacturing superior eco-friendly products. Dr. Kumar, the founder of the MMK Foundation, is a distinguished geoscientist with over 16 years of extensive experience in the mining and mineral-based industries. Since 2008, he has contributed to these sectors across India, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. His expertise spans mineral exploration, mining, manufacturing, and marketing, with a strong emphasis on execution, fieldwork, research, and development (R&D).

Dr. M. Maria Kumar has successfully led gold and diamond exploration in the Amazonian Rainforest, Guyana–Latin America. He holds a PhD from Osmania University, Hyderabad, for his research on “Petrological and Geochemical Studies on Boggulakonda Gabbros.” Recognized as a Qualified Person (Regd. No. RQP/DMG/HYD/61/2018) by the Directorate of Mines and Geology, Telangana, he has participated in the iGEON – 2007 workshop at the University of Hyderabad in collaboration with SDSC, San Diego, USA. Dr. Kumar has conducted geochemical analysis of rock samples using XRF and ICPMS at N.G.R.I, Hyderabad, and contributed to research on Nickel Sulphide Fire Assay, presenting his findings at MSI – 2007 and national seminars on PGE, Gold, and Diamonds exploration in India.
